In this chapter of the guide, you will learn all the necessary information about Helix Rifts in AC Unity.

The fractures lead to incomplete fragments of the simulation taking place in Paris of different ages. You'll get access to them at the end of chapters 3, 7, and 11 while you're completing the server bridges. Faults occur in groups, two or three for each historical period.

After you enter the rift, you need to:

Score a certain number of points. Thanks to this, you will find the imprisoned murderer.

Free the killer. Thanks to this, you will receive intelligence data.

Score another specified number of points. Thanks to this, you will be rewarded with money.

Entrance through the portal.

All this needs to be done in a short time. If you run out of time, the simulation will start to collapse. You can escape before you take all the steps, after which you will not receive intelligence and will be rewarded with livres.

The cost of the reward depends on the number of points you have scored. There are two restrictions: one is necessary to find the killer, and the other is necessary to receive a bonus.
The more you collect above the second threshold, the more money you will receive. However, remember that you need to escape before the simulation collapses, otherwise you will not receive the reward.

You earn points for collecting clusters of data. The blue ones are worth 10 points, they don't move. The orange ones are worth 20, and they go their own way. The green ones are worth 50 points, they require you to stand next to them for a while. Some missions include guards, and you can get 20 points for killing them. To complete the mission, you need to free the killer, but for this you will receive several hundred points.

Moreover, some levels have additional requirements. They were described in the chapter "Maps and Secrets". There are 8 cracks in the entire game, divided into 3 groups, including one training crack.

You can explore each of them on your own, but you can also follow in the footsteps of the captive killer. After appearing on a new map, you can sometimes spot a ghostly killer. It will take you to where it was contracted, dropping data packets on its way. Their value decreases over time, so it's best to collect them as quickly as possible. You don't need to keep an eye on the running assassin, but this ensures that the mission is completed in most cases with the required number of points.

There are artifacts in the rifts. To find them, you first need to sign up for the Novce program, and then unlock them using the accompanying app. Once they are unlocked, they can be collected during the mission.
